happy 2017 conceal and contour followers and newcomers. i’m going to keep this short and sweet. i found this post on pinterest (follow me), and couldn’t resist sharing it with you. it is a reading challenge… as you could probably tell by the title. the original post (see here) is a 2017 reading challenge, and features 52 books – which works out to 1 book a week. now i don’t know about you but i definitely cannot read 1 book a week… so i thought i would simply challenge myself to completing the list, no matter how long it takes me. join me on the journey? welcome to the second instalment of what’d you use. all the products i used to create this look are listed below with stores and websites where you can purchase each item.
my apologies for the poor quality in photos, i tried a new foundation and did not like it (stay tuned…), so i covered it with my MUFE and i think it created a white cast which did not photograph as well as my usual looks do. but anyways, on to the product list. Continue reading
i always get asked what products i use to create looks, so to make things easier i thought i would create a series called what’d you use so i can share all the products i used with you! i will list the prices and i will link the website (if available) where you can purchase the products used as well, and if not i will let you know which stores should carry them.
this is the look i wore to kanye west’s saint pablo tour when he blessed winnipeg. i wanted to use reds as a lot of the merch had red accents, and the show’s lighting consisted of warm tones and reds. Continue reading

colourpop cosmetics has to be one of the most affordable brands out there and let me tell you… you will feel like you are stealing from them because their products are to die for. the best bang for your buck out there, trust me (no pun intended – my colourpop lovers will get it). their prices for individual items range between $5 USD to $8 USD. that’s for lip colours (all formulas), brow products, eyeshadows, bronzers, blushes, highlighters, etc. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? i mean really, if you haven’t tried their products, you MUST. i thought i would share my collection with you so you’ll have an idea of what colourpop is all about, and what kind of different products they have. what possesses someone to comment negative things on people’s social media pages, blogs, or youtube accounts? what is the point? i have been seeing so many pointless negative comments on people’s pages and it’s really starting to piss me off, so i thought i would write a post about how these comments can make me feel (and i’m sure many people feel the same way) and maybe shed some light on the people that post them. i’m sure you all know that sunscreen is extremely important, but how many of you actually know how to accurately apply sunscreen? how many of you know what those hard to pronounce ingredients on the back of the bottle actually are? in all honesty, before researching for this post, i didn’t know anything about sunscreen. i barely even use sunscreen, even at the beach. I KNOW I’M HORRIBLE. but as i’m getting older, i’m starting to care more about things like this. i can tell you, i’m going to be wearing sunscreen more often after gaining much knowledge about it, and i hope that you do too after reading this post.
